Public Space Protection Order Merton Council is consulting on proposals for three new Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) in Merton relating to: The proposals aim to help address issues that affect people using public spaces, and support cleaner, safer and more welcoming neighbourhoods across the borough.
We would like to hear from residents, businesses, local organisations, visitors and anyone who spends time in Merton.
You can find out more about the proposals and share your views by completing our online survey via Commonplace. You can also find out more at our in-person engagement events in October.
The consultation is open until Monday 2 November 2026.

Half term Half term is only a couple of weeks away. Trying to plan activities for kids and grandchildren can be hard. Merton has a range of suggestions including free swimming. Free swimming offers | Merton Council
National Hate Crime Awareness week HCAW is happening on the 10th-17th. Merton Council is planning a full week of events including a meet and greet with the Hate Crime Strategy Board on the 15th October at the New Horizons Centre.
